1033 MODEL AUTOMOBILE USED IN MOVIE MAKING. This terrific scale model antique automobile was supposedly made specifically to be used in the making of movies some time ago. It is fitted with an old battery and electrical wiring, which I anticipate its purpose may have been to run the headlights and taillights. The wheels are carved of wood and much of the automobile itself is made of wood. I am not sure what this is whether it's a Dusenburg or just exactly what it is, but it's certainly from the 1920's and very neat. I have no idea what film it may have been used in, but it is certainly unique and would be very appropriate in a salesman sample collection. SIZE: approximately 25" l by 9" w. 1055AL ANTIQUE MOLDED CHINA HEAD DOLL WITH BLACK HAIR. A shoulder head with painted facial features and molded black hair. Fitted with a simulated double pearl necklace. The body stuffed cloth with porcelain hands and porcelain feet. The doll with an old period printed dress and undergarments also accompanied by a lovely hat and numerous other costumes of the same period. Some of which would fit this doll, some don't. The doll and costumes are in a decorated period box, which has a pasted image on the inside of a costumed lady. Also accompanied with this lot is a small 5" china head doll in as is condition. 1055AM TIN "SWEET FOURTH BANK." A small colorful lithograph child's tin bank. Mustard yellow with decoupage of children playing on three sides. 1055AN ANTIQUE SALESMAN DISPLAY FOR POPCORN MACHINE. While I have never seen one of these before I am told that this little cast metal and wood articulated man and glass drum were part of a display in conjunction with a popcorn cart. The little man's hands wrapped around the crank, which controls the revolution of the glass drum. The opposite end of the drum has a small pulley that apparently ran to the steam mechanism on the popcorn cart. Subsequently, when the steam mechanism to the popcorn wagon was working the pulley automatically revolved the drum and made the little man appear to be cranking the drum inside which supposedly was popcorn. A wonderful late 19^th or early 20^th century promotional piece. SIZE: man stands approximately 9" h, the drum is about 7" w by 5" d. CONDITION: paint on the little man is much worn, the glass cylinder has a crack all the way across it, the glass metal has an old patina and other than what's mentioned above, everything appears to be fine. 1-25543 (500-1,000)

1141 RARE PORCELAIN KOKEN SALESMAN SAMPLE BARBER CHAIR. This leather, nickel and porcelain salesman sample for a Koken barber chair is one of the most desirable of all salesman samples. These samples were made in wonderful detail and includes ornate nickeled footrest with raised relief filigree and marked Koken Companies St. Louis. The mechanism is set up with a hydraulic pump in the pedestal as the full-sized one would be and when filled with oil and working properly can be operated with the handle on the side. SIZE: 14 1/2" h, depth on edge of footrest is approximately 13" d and width from one arm to the other is approximately 8". CONDITION: this one is in generally good condition. The nickel is worn on the footrest, there is currently no oil in the pedestal, so we do not know whether the pump works or not and will not guarantee it. The leather appears to be all original and in place and the porcelain is in excellent condition free of chips and cracks. 1142 RARE AND DESIRABLE 19TH C. SALESMAN SAMPLE FOR FIRE PUMPER. This wood and metal salesman sample is marked with letters on the side R. W. Chapman. The top gilded and painted titled "The Fire King" The long rods on either side were manned by a row of men on either side. One side would push down while the other lifted up and vice versa. This force would drive the pumping mechanism within the fire pumper that drove the water out the hose. These horsedrawn salesman samples of fire apparatus from this period are very rare. This candlestick telephone marked Stromberg Carlson on the receiver I presume was probably a small paperweight for an Executive or a member of the Stromberg Carlson firm. 1145 VERY RARE PATENT MODEL FOR A BRASS STREET LAMP DATED FEBRUARY 22, 1876. This salesman sample size patent model is complete with the original identification tags and information. 1154 OLD ANHEUSER BUSCH LITHO ADVERTISING. Depicting Custer's Last Stand. One of the most historic of all US Calvary and Indian Engagements to ever take place in the history of the West was that of the Battle of the Little Big Horn at which Custer and his entire troop were annihilated. This famous painting executed sometime in the late 19th Century about twenty years after the famed battle panoramic and most action filled depiction of the artists rendition of Custer and his command's last moments. Originally used by Anheuser Busch around the turn of the century in promotional ads it was later redistributed in the mid 20^th Century. This particular version is one of the early models. "Custers Last Fight the original painting has been presented to the seventh regiment US Calvary by Anheuser Busch Brewing Association St Louis, MO". Framed in an oak frame which is probably the original one. SIZE: 44 ½" wide by 34 ½" high. CONDITION: Some soiling; staining near the base; a couple of tears most notably at the base and a couple of small tears at the top coming a little into the sky. There is a crease and maybe it is even a tight tear which runs from the right lower one third of the picture to the edge. 1249 GREAT TIN LITHO FRONT FOR THE DIAMOND DYES FAIRY CABINET. We do not have the cabinet but we have what is important, the tin and it is an outstanding one. When the recent owner acquired this a short while ago it was filthy and black and they made a quick weak attempt at cleaning it and it came out wonderful. It will probably clean up even better with a little professional attention, but this is an outstanding example of the fairy dye tin. This particular one is usually found in very poor condition and it's so hard to find in this kind of condition. Nice colors. By Wells & Hope and Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. SIZE: 24" by 18". CONDITION: large nail hole down at the bottom (much of which would be covered by the molding in the door.) A small nail hole at the top right on the edge of the molding again, maybe partially or fully covered by the molding and a small chip of paint lies just below that nail. 1307 UNUSUAL ANTIQUE BOWFRONT LEADED GLASS WINDOW. This lovely Victorian leaded glass window is semi-circular in design with three multi-colored bulls eye decorations in the center surrounded by numerous square ornamentation. SIZE: Approx. 52" across and 27 ½" high. CONDITION: At least two of the rectangular panels around the border are broken with small bits of glass missing.; some of the other glass panels are cracked. 1308 UNUSUAL AND LOVELY VICTORIAN LEADED GLASS WINDOW. This large rectangular leaded glass window features a lower panel leaded with design of fruit and leaves at the base. The upper panel with textured glass and ornate glass panels. The border with rectangular colored panels and large bullseyes in each of the corners. The top panel above the fruit panel has an unusual raised out design. It appears to have been obviously made that way so that the glass would kick out and catch the sun otherwise had it warped out the lead would have stretched and broken out in places. A most unusual shaped and very attractive Victorian leaded glass window. SIZE: 54" wide by 35 ½" high. 1309 UNUSUAL VICTORIAN METAL, ZINC (?) GARGOYLE SHAPED HANGING FIXTURES. The coiled serpent heads with scrolled ornamentation at the neck have hooks in their mouth. 1314 ADVERTISING RAILROAD CLOCK, SANTA FE RAILWAY SYSTEM. This short drop oak case schoolhouse clock was made by Seth Thomas and dial reads, "Santa Fe Railway Systems Standard Seth Thomas" A paper label on the inside indicates that it was last serviced March 22, 1931 and that it was located in the waiting room. 1315 ANTIQUE COCA-COLA CLOCK. This large regulator oak clock from around the turn of the Century features ornate pressed design at top base and on the door. The dial with genuine old advertisement which reads "Coca-Cola delicious drink 5 cents refreshing" made by the E. Ingraham Co. Bristol, Connecticut. SIZE: Clock case approx. 38" long by 17" wide. Dial with advertising approx. 13" in diameter. CONDITION: Case itself refinished sometime ago and in very nice condition; glass from the top and bottom needs to be replaced; works with the key; clock with key and pendulum; advertising on dial is worn and a small nickel size spot in the center of the dial missing and replaced long ago. 8-25909 (800-1200)

1316 CIRCUS OR SIDESHOW CANVAS POSTER. Title Congress of Athletes depicts a muscular child's atlas type figure surrounded by the following challengers. 1317 LOVELY SWISS TEN TUNE INLAY JUNOD GOITAIRE TREMOLO CYLINDER MUSIC BOX. This beautiful Rosewood with satin wood inlay and with colorful floral sprays on the top; has painted floral decoration on the front. The cabinet has been very nicely refinished features ten dance and opera tunes with 11" long cylinder, plays very well. Also has a Zither attachment. All teeth are intact and retains original deck paper inside listing the ten various tunes. Overall condition is very good and it has been restored so that it plays very well. 1318 SWISS EIGHT TUNE MUSIC BOX. Having a Rosewood and Mahogany case with satin wood pinstripe inlay and an inlay floral design in lid. The mechanism fitted with 10 ½" brass cylinder and retaining what appears to be the original tune card listing the various tunes. SIZE: Box 20" wide by 8 ½" deep by 5 ½" high. CONDITION: Box is as found and appears to have not been cleaned; some of the inlay is raising up and the wood is discolored. Tune card is torn; mechanism works but sticks and I believe that perhaps grease or oil has congealed and has slowed the mechanism down. I believe but am not sure that a cleaning may put this back into full functioning order. Teeth are all good and the mechanism appears to be in good condition; does not appear to be rusted or damaged. 1319 LOVELY ROSEWOOD AND MAHOGANY INLAID SWISS MUSIC BOX. The case with satin pinstripe inlay and multi-colored inlaid floral design on lid. Black ebony molded design on edge of lid and feet. The interior with 12 ½" brass cylinder which plays 12 tunes. Retains original tune card listing the tunes which include The Last Rose of Summer, Coming Through The Rye, The Grandfathers Clock, Silver Threads Among the Gold etc. Tune card marked "Butler Manufacturer, Haymarket London". SIZE: Box 24 ½" long by 10" deep by 6 ½" high. CONDITION: Box in very nice condition and appears to have been cleaned at some time. 1372 COLLECTION OF APPROXIMATELY 55 OLD CHROME HOOD ORNAMENTS. A terrific large collection of ornamental hood ornaments. I would imagine most date from the late 30's, 40's and perhaps 50's. A multitude of designs that apparently have come from many different brands and vintages of cars. Most are sleek aerodynamic designs and many reminiscent of the art deco period. Some are aftermarket products. Some of the neatest are the rocket ship or jet plane style figures. Some fitted with celluloid or early plastic fins and propellers. Include stylized nude woman, Indian chief, numerous airplanes, world globe, etc. SIZE: varies from approximately 18" l to some short examples only 3 or 4" l. CONDITION: generally good although not perfect. 1374 AN EXTREMELY ORNATE VICTORIAN ART NOUVEAU COFFEE URN OR SAMOVAR. This Victorian masterpiece features a copper base metal, which appears to be covered in red enamel. Is mounted with elaborate gilt ormolu metal and is titled The Torrid apparatus made by James W. Tufts of Boston, MA. Various patent dates the latest being 1894. Tufts was a well-known maker of fine quality soda fountain apparatus. SIZE: approximately 26" tall. CONDITION: red enameling worn on the surface. 1455 TIN MOXIE LITHO SIGN, NEW OLD STOCK. This large oval Moxie sign is new old stock and was never used. Red background with black and cream letters and having a gold border. 1460 EARLY 20TH CENTURY BLACK RARE LITHO. Depicting a black military unit marching off to war. The young black man says goodbye to his sweetheart in the foreground and beneath it "Colored Man is No Slacker". A rare piece from this early era this stigma and bigoted attitude towards black people in our country in the early part of this century and unfortunate attitude about towards this race at that time.
