987. INTERESTING TRAVELING TRUNK WITH ORIGINAL BRASS TAG "MR. CHARLES DICKENS". This trunk was believed to have been sold at a London auction house in the first half of the 20th Century. It was purchased when some of the Dickens items were being sold. The name tag is definitely period to the trunk, but we have been unable to verify its authenticity.
